YOUR TEMPLE OF PRAISE

Amos 9:11 In that day I (God) will raise up the fallen tabernacle of David and close the walls again, and I will raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old.

In the wilderness during the time of Moses, the people of Israel were represented before God by the High Priest who entered the Holy Place, put the veil on the Holy One and the Saints, and sprinkled the Seat of Mercy at the top with blood. of the Ark of the Covenant.

It was a very solemn ceremony and people were waiting in silence outside. Israel took the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle with them during the forty years of wandering. When they reached the Promised Land, it was installed “permanently” in Gibeon. 2 Chronicles 1: 3-4.

In 1 Samuel 4 we find that the Philistines had captured the Ark. This sacred object was so sacred that the priest, Eli, fell dead when he heard the news. 1 Samuel 4: 11-18.

God sent a plague among the Philistines who then returned the Ark to Israel where it was placed in the house of Aminadab for 20 years.

When David became king, he brought the Ark back to Jerusalem. 1 Chronicles 13: 8 describes the joyous ceremony. There were songs, dances, shouts and the playing of musical instruments.

David did not bring him back to the Tabernacle where the veil still separated the people from God. He brought it to a tent without a veil where people could now openly worship

The Tabernacle was of Moses and of the law.

The tent was from David, with grace, joy, music, song.

Are you discouraged, sad, overwhelmed by the evil that surrounds us today? God, in his mercy, allowed the people to come to him singing, rejoicing, and praising.

Where is the temple today? 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 What? Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, that you have from God and that you are not yours? For you are redeemed at a price, therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which belong to God.

Today the only veil between you and God is the one you put up in your heart.

I challenge you to remove this veil, let God reign supreme in our bodies and in our souls.

You will rebuild your temple of worship.

WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?
