The promotion of the junior mass 2023

Dr. Rob Mullen ’77

All Juniors and their parents are invited and encouraged to attend the Junior Class Mass on Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at the Steinhauser Gym. This annual event has been canceled by covid for the past two years. It’s so good to renew it in May.

This Mass marks the assumption of leadership of the Class of 2023 as the next school year approaches. This Mass has as its bookend the Senior Baccalaureate Mass held during the graduation weekend.

All those who are not Catholic are still invited to attend. Those who have ordered a senior ring will have it blessed during mass and can then be picked up at a reception in the hall of elders.

We all know the hard times these young men go through after high school. There is no better way for them and for you to continue their journey than all of us together for this moment of worship.

Important Campus Ministry Junior Mass Information:

If your son has a different ring (inherited from a parent or a championship ring, for example) and wants it blessed, he can bring it to Campus Ministry (T212) in a small box or bag , marked with his name, then pick it up after mass.

Juniors must wear a sports jacket and tie and sit together in class on chairs on the gymnasium floor. Parents and family members will be seated in the stands or in limited seating on the floor. Masks are optional.

*Disabled accessible seating (on chairs on the gymnasium floor) must be reserved in advance by contacting Joy Durbin at 502-736-2188 or [email protected] before noon on May 11.

  • You must arrive by 6:45 a.m. to claim these seats.
  • Reserved seats will be released at 6:50 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.
