Monica Pustejovsky, 58, from Waco, died on Monday, October 18, 2021 in Waco.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home, followed by visitation until 8 p.m. Christian Burial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 23 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Interment will follow at Fatima cemetery.

Monica was born on April 16, 1963 in Hillsboro, daughter of the late Henry and Willie Mae (Matus) Pustejovsky. She graduated in 1981 from Abbott High School. She then received her BA from Baylor University and her MA from Tarleton State University. She has taught for the Waco Independent School District for many years, primarily to at-risk youth. She had a passion for teaching and helping others. On January 16, 2016, Monica married Tamara Haynes in Waco. She was a long-time member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Monica loved to tell good stories, play games, and take trips to Winstar. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Tamara Pustejovsky of Waco; children, Maegan Abney and husband, Neil, of Hillsboro, Kennedy Haynes of Waco, and Dustin Middlebrook and fiancee, Caitlen, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Luke Abney and Logan Abney; sister, Rose Ann Kaska and husband, Ron; brothers, Pat Pustejovsky and Billy Pustejovsky and wife, Kathy; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
