ALLIANCE – Mary E. Krispinsky Gonci, 89, surrounded by her family, returned home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Born August 5, 1932 in Youngstown to John and Mary Somsky Krispinsky, she has lived at Alliance most of her life. She graduated in 1950 from Wilson High School in Youngstown.

Mary was a member of the Regina Coeli Catholic Church and served as Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan. She belonged to the Catholic Women’s Club, the Prague Children’s Guild, the Altar and Rosary Society, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Mary has participated in the Senior Bowling Alliance and Parkway Wednesday Night Bowling Leagues. She was also a member of the Alliance Friends Church exercise group, as well as the Alliance Senior Center, where she sang in their choir.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, close friends, and pets. She always looked forward to going to church, participating with her exercise group, as well as taking part in her volunteer activities. She has volunteered with the Red Cross, the Chamber of Commerce and the Stark County Board of Elections.

His passions included gardening, baking, travel, playing cards, game shows, bowling and sitting on his patio enjoying the outdoors with a cup of coffee.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Ed) Eissmann of Snohomish, Washington, Barb Brown of Alliance, Rob (Shelley) Gonci of Charlotte, NC and Lori (Brent) Horvath of Twinsburg; 10 grandchildren, Erik Eissmann, Troy (Jennifer) Eissmann, Brian Eissmann, Allyson (Jayson) Gray, Morgan (Anthony) Whitten, Pierce Gonci, Skyler Gonci, Paige Gonci, Tyler Horvath and Trevor Horvath; four great-grandchildren, Tanner Whitten, Evelyn Whitten, Milena Whitten and Wyatt Gray; special friend, Chuck Dougherty; brother-in-law, John Kramer; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Robert A. Gonci, predeceased her; his parents; five brothers, Paul, Al, Fred, Ben and Joe; two sisters, Gen and Louise; brother-in-law, Andy Gonci; and sister-in-law, Margaret Kramer.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday October 1, 2021, at the Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Reverend G. David Weikart as celebrant.

Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
